From the President of United Spay Alliance: Feline Fix by Five got its start in 2016, after a group of veterinarians met to discuss the optimal age for the spay/neuter of cats. The recommendations of the task force provided the foundation of the Feline Fix by Five campaign. In June of 2017, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) – the nation’s leading veterinary advocate formally endorsed those recommendations.

| One of our wonderful fosters is here to tell you all about fostering. HSSC does not have a physical location, we all volunteer and foster out of our homes, so our foster network is so very important!
If you are interested in becoming a foster and would like more information, please call or text 540-421-4842. Fostering saves lives right here in our community and we need not only fosters for kittens, but cats of all ages and occasionally dogs. If you cannot foster, we have plenty of other ways you can volunteer.
